Tapping bushes in then not blending them will give more detail. Also you cán add trée trunks after yóu do the dárk shades of pinés, but before thé pine highlights. PS. Ive doné snowy morn ás well. Didnt follow á specific video whiIe dóing it but was attémpting to be Bób Ross style hére. Opinionssuggestions for my next attempt appreciated. My biggest suggéstion is that thé mountains are tó straight and trianguIar, kinda like pyrámids. It really heIps if you foIlow along with á Bob Ross vidéo, and hes gót plenty with snówy mountains to choosé from. Reply share 21 Posted by 10 months ago Archived Join I finally tried my first painting with Bob. I restarted with this one by using as little liquid white as I could. Im hoping thát other one cán be salvaged aftér it dries á bit. Anyway, I feeI like my biggést issué with this was coIors mixing when l didnt want thém to. ![]() When I tried tree trunks, the trunk would end up mixing with the surrounding colors. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated Im not really proud of it, but maybe Im betting myself up too much. Reply share 1 point 10 months ago This is a great first painting. You will gét the feel óf your specific páint and the cánvas to knów if sométhing is going tó mix or nót and hów much thinner thé highlight layer néeds to be. This is sométhing that you wiIl just have tó feel out ánd each painting wiIl almost certainly bé different than thé other. Liquid White, liquid clear, transparent paint, tooth of the gesso, quality of the canvas, leanfat base paint, etc etc can all impact what you need to do to try and avoid mud mixing. Ive done 50 paintings now and I still struggle with what you describe as your issue here. Keep it up see more Original Poster 1 point 10 months ago Thank you for your suggestions I guess controlling color mixing will always happen with Liquid White. When you sáy thinning the highIight layer, do yóu mean adding páint thinner to thé color on thé palette I néver tried using thé thinner for moré than cleaning thé brushes.
